I can't believe it's JUNE! Party fingers. I have been in Colorado for the last 9 days. My cousin got married and I felt it was a solid opportunity to make a holiday out of it. The original plan was one week in Colorado then hit it back to Nashville. Well---one thing led to another and now I will be out West for a month. I leave for Salt Lake today and will be hitting Yellowstone and then down to Southern Utah to hit up a few more National Parks with my brother. Pray for us! :) We are like oil and vinegar.

I noticed you posted about Nashville. Do you currently teach in Nashville? I applied there and haven't heard anything. Any Advice?
ReplyDeleteHey! I live in Nashville but I currently teach in Franklin--- which is just outside of Nashville. What counties did you apply to? There are a few in the area--- Williamson, Wilson, Davidson, Franklin Special, Rutherford. Some of the counties it helps to know somebody others it almost feels random. I was a Special Ed. teacher first which helped me get into the system and after a few years I switched to 2nd grade.
DeleteHey Thanks! I'll try some of those counties. I applied to Metropolitan Nashville Schools or something like that. I feel everywhere I've applied you have to "know" someone and I don't know anyone lol Thanks
DeleteYour vacation spot look GORGEOUS! I'm guessing you're already on summer break, and I'm jealous!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou aren't on summer break yet?!? That is ridiculous! I just checked out your blog and LOVE your iPad posters. Totally using those. My kids make book trailers using our iPads and this could be handy to post near them.
DeleteI LOVE Colorado! The pictures you posted make me want to go back! I have always dreamed of going to Nashville as well! The boyfriend sings country music at some local places in Jacksonville, so of course he has been. Hopefully a road trip is in store!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! I was stalking and saw that you read Soldier Bear to your students. I love that book!

Yes! I love Nashville! I moved there 4 years ago and haven't looked back.
DeleteI am so glad you love Soldier Bear- that book is such a gem! It is one of the best books and my students could not get enough of it. Do you have any other books you recommend?
